I stumbled backward, falling onto the ground, still not able to process the truth. He killed my father? I looked up, my vision blurry from the tears forming in my eyes. “No, no, no, no, you’re lying! It can’t be the truth. You’re my best friend.” I mumbled, pulling my hair. “You wouldn’t do that to my father, to me. You said I was your best friend!” I held him by his collar, looking in his eyes to find an ounce of hint that he was lying. He tried to hold my hands to say something.

“No — don't touch me!” I snapped, stepping back. “First, admit that you’re lying. Apologize. If this is some sort of prank of yours — I’m not forgiving you.”
